Diamond Sapphire or Ruby – which would you choose?

When you choose a holiday home the bedrooms are important – it’s your own private tranquil space after all and we want you to feel at home whilst experiencing something different.
At Bijou Barn we have three bedrooms all named after different gem stones.  Diamond Sapphire and Ruby are all different and having slept in them all – I think they each have something special that makes them sparkle.  Have a look and see which one you think would be your favourite.
Diamond

This is the bedroom we sleep in the most as it’s super king size bed is an irresistible place to relax.  When you walk through the old wooden door and down the 3 stone steps you will be impressed by the spacious feel due to the high ceiling and old wooden beams.  Then as you pan around the room you will be drawn to the lovely alcove which houses the free standing roll top bath which is a tranquil haven for those relaxing soaks.  Beside the bath is the all important door into the garden, which is one of the first views you see in the morning.  Open the door and you walk onto a vine covered terrace leading to the pool area and patio so you can be first into the pool.
Best bit:
The very comfy super Kingsize bed
What makes it special:
The roll top bath looking out onto a vine covered terrace
Sapphire

This is also a very quirky room, again you step down into this room where the wooden floor gives a feeling of warmth and the sun floods in through the large patio door opening onto one of the lawn areas.  High ceilings and wooden beams also feature but the most special part of this room is the shower area as it is built from stone with a pebble covered floor and very large shower head.  Beside the shower is the basin which is built into a stone wall enclosing the shower area.
Best bit:
Standing underneath the big circular shower head below the wooden beams  – the stone floor gives a feeling of bringing the outside in.
What makes it special:
Waking up the morning and looking out onto the lavender bushes which surround the lawn
Ruby

This is my favourite room as it is the oldest and the coolest.  The beam clad ceiling, walls and tile covered floor are all cream giving a light and airy feel.  There is also the most comfy wicker lounger in the corner which is a lovely place to listen to music or read another chapter of that can’t put down book.  When you wake up in the morning the first thing you see is the garden through the arched  doorway.  The bathroom for this bedroom is just next door with a pebble floored shower, basin and toilet.

Best bit:
The crisp cool interior combines with old French charm
What makes it special:
Being able to open the door and walk through the stone archway out into the flower filled garden where you can sit with a coffee and watch the day begin.
